GENERAL BUILDING PLASTICS terms and conditions for sale directly relating to web purchases
Deliveries
Please note that any lengths of products delivered via courier delivery will be cut in half so dont forget to add more unions or joints if needed to join, by agreeing to our tems and conditions you agree to this clause
Products delivered on our own vehicles (please see delivery page for areas covered) will be delivered in full lengths as described
When you receive your goods you must check them for damage before you sign for them. Once signed as received in good condition claims for damaged goods are not covered by our carriers's insurance company (signing as unchecked will not cover you). If goods are damaged on delivery replacement products can only be sent out if they are signed for correctly on receipt. If goods are damaged or missing and have been signed damaged you must inform us within 24 hours of receiving your goods to keep to the couriers terms.
If you place your order before 10am on our site your goods will be delivered on the next working day
Orders placed after 10am will be processed and delivered in 2 working days
If there are any stock shortages we will contact you to try and arrange for an alternative product, or advise you on expected delivery date.
Always check items for damage when it is delivered and before signing. All goods sent out by carrier are insured against damage until you sign. Signing as unchecked does not cover the delivery against damage
Do not book your builder until your materials are on site and checked, as some deliveries do go wrong and we are unable to compensate you for your builders time.
All delivery charges quoted are for delivery to mainland UK only, some highlands and islands may carry additional costs, if this is the case you will be notified before dispatch, and a full refund will be given if you decide not to accept these charges
Storage Information
Please do not store plastic products in the packaging or inner bags in direct sunlight, as damage may occur to the product due to overheating
Do not store other building materials on top of plastic building products as it may scratch or damage the product
Stock Shortages
In the event of a stock shortage we will notifiy you via your e-mail address or telephone as to when your order can be processed. If it is not within 21 days you can cancel your order and a full refund will be made.
Wherever possible we will offer alternative items should we be out of stock of the product you have ordered. This may be a larger size which may require cutting to size on site
All orders received before 10am will be delivered the following day
Product prices are shown in GBP sterling and all transactions are processed as such.
We will do our best to deliver complete orders within 6 working days, however we do not guarantee to deliver and we cannot accept any responsibility for any losses you may incur due to late delivery.
Goods that are delivered via courier are cut in half and packaged to avoid any unecessary damage, all goods must be checked for damages before signing (signing as unchecked does not cover you) any claims for shortages or damages that are not clearly marked on paperwork cannot be processed

We will NOT give your e-mail address to any other company
We may, from time to time, send you e-mails regarding new products and special offers
Complaints
At General Building Plastics Ltd we are commited to excellent customer service.
We will, wherever possible, deliver goods on our own, specialised transport and by our trained staff
If we are out of stock we will, wherever possible, provide you with an alternative product or larger size

All complaints will be dealt with in a fair, confidential and efficient manor.

All guarantees are provided by the manufacturers of the product, and certain terms and conditions will apply to the installation of products - please check the manufacturers website for further details
Returns & Cancellations
If you purchase goods from our website as a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order. Once you have notified us, you must return the goods to us within 14 days.
Returning unwanted items
Items must be returned:
- in the same condition as they were delivered
- unused and unaltered
- with any protective packaging or cellophane intact where applicable
- complete with all original packaging, accessories, and components
We cannot accept returns for items that have been cut, drilled, customised, installed, or otherwise altered after delivery unless they are faulty.
Customers are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted items unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds
Once returned goods have been received and inspected, we will process your refund to your original payment method within 14 days.
We reserve the right to make deductions from refunds where goods show signs of handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and function.
Special order items
Some items may be classified as special order items.
Any special-order items will be clearly communicated to you and confirmed before despatch.These items may be non-returnable unless they are faulty, damaged, or not as described.
Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
