Working with house builders, local authorities, property developers, installers, and home owners, our product range provides a stylish, cost effective and low maintenance alternative to traditional wood, with products available in a wide range of colours and designs that add style and definition to domestic and commercial buildings.
As part of our ongoing strategy to evolve and add-to the range of products available both in branch and on the website, as well as directly respond to market changes and product and technology innovations in the building products arena, we continually invest time sourcing the best quality products from manufacturers with proven track records and guarantees. It is important to us, so wherever possible, our products are made in the UK.
GBP has a network of trade counters and offices in key sites across the Midlands – as well as the head office in our home town Rugeley, Staffordshire, are branches in Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Walsall, Banbury and Kettering.
All branches have experienced and knowledgeable staff, who are trained to be able to advise on product solutions and assist with any technical questions or queries. We have an enviable reputation for our excellent customer service, which is at the heart of the business, with many of our regular customers with us for well over 20 years.
A proud family business
Founded in 1990, GBP is a family owned and run business, with two generations of the Sutherland family working in the business today – our founder Janet Sutherland, her son Alan Sutherland, who is Managing Director of the business, and youngest daughter Clare Sutherland.
The team are immensely proud of GBP’s heritage and roots, and that it is a family business that continues to be led, built and run by a hardworking, committed and determined team.
The business’ strong family values and growth have been recognized in a number of national Awards: GBP was crowned The Midlands Family Business of the Year in the 2017 Family Business United national awards, when the judges described the company as "a truly great British family firm with strong family values at their core and a belief in what they do".
